Final matches are certain – Surprise inclusive
04 June 2011

The final matches are certain: In the boys’ tournament the titleholders Turkey which won in the semi-final sovereignly with 4-0 against Team Germany met up with Team New Zealand. The Kiwis were also unbeaten yet and believed in themselves for succeeding. The team with star Liam Johnson has played together for more than 6 years and knows what is important in such games.
In the girls’ tournament the Americans won in the semi-final with 3-0 against England and played against a team they know from the group matches. The Dutch defeated the strong Swiss team and surprisingly reached the final, so they feel very self-confident – even though they lost their group matches against USA with 3-1.
At 12.00h the last One Nation Cup Day started with the games for the third place. At 14.00h there will be the girls’ final and at 15.30h the boys will find its champion.

Semi-finalists are certain – goals deciding
03 June 2011

Turkey, USA, Switzerland, England, The Netherlands, Germany, New Zealand and Bosnia were able to qualify for the semi-final, only one goal was missing for the girls from team of Bosnia as well as for the guys from South Africa.
The girls’ team from Sarajevo played awesome football but was also dropped out because of that missing goal, the same happened to the “Rainbow-Nation” and to the Japanese after they didn’t use their big chances!
The day ended up with a great party and barbecue in Sportgarten. The ball rolled on each court and there was music and dancing, especially the One Nation Cup dance, in the skate hall.

Samoa Feeling in Bremerhaven
02 June 2011

We all started the trip along the 8th longitude through Switzerland, Sardinia, Niger, Cameroon, the Arctic and Samoa. The One Nation Cup Crew experienced the importance of the climate and all its changes for life on our planet.
The Klimahaus didn’t only invite us but also organized an intoxicant party, so we say “Thank You” for that great Wednesday.
